Billy Ray Bates

Billy Ray Bates, 53, passed away peacefully on June 4, 2021 at Unity Health Medical Center in Searcy, AR.  He was diagnosed with cancer in October 2020, and he fought strongly up until the very end.  Billy was a loving husband, father, Pa, and friend to many!  As a dedicated plumber to Jodie Kelly and his family at Unity Health, he absolutely loved and appreciated his work family!

Billy was preceded in death by his father Jim Bates, his mother Martha Bates, and his brother Johnny Bates. He is survived by his wife Gretchen Bates, his son Taylor Beeman and wife Katelynn, his son Austin Bates, his daughter Lindsey Harris and husband Hunter, and his son Evan Bates. He is also survived by four beautiful grandchildren, Presley Beeman, Huxley Harris, Brooks Beeman, and Hayes Harris. Also survived by a sister, Joyce Jackson and a brother, Michael Bates.
