Ferris E. McDonald II “Mac”, 70, of Bald Knob, Arkansas passed away October 13, 2021. He was born in Harrisburg, Mississippi to the late Ferris and Jewell McDonald.
Mac joined the United States Navy in 1969 and ultimately became a Seabee. The Seabees taught him a lot about life and allowed him to do what he loved, travel around the world. He retired after 22 years of faithful service. After his military retirement he continued to serve his country as Government Contractor for many years.
He loved to fish and hunt, but his passion was spending time with his many friends and family. He was a proud husband, father, father in-law, and Pawpaw.
Mac could talk to just about anyone and about anything. He loved to tell stories about his life to anyone who would listen, especially his time in the military. To say he was a proud veteran is an understatement. He maintained the Seabees motto “Seabees Can Do” through his life.
He is survived by his loving wife of 17 years, Patricia McDonald, his two daughters Theresa McDonald of Bald Knob and Tammy Yednock (Brian) of Spotsylvania, Virginia, his grandchildren Caitlyn, Christian, and Alysa, his sisters and brothers Michael, Pamela, Patricia, Peggy, William, and Katherine along with several nieces and nephews.
