Terry Mae (Boody) Sanders, age 70, passed away on Wednesday, March 16, 2022, at Unity Health hospital, Searcy, Ark. Terry had been a resident of The Springs nursing home for almost six years. She was born on Feb. 24, 1952, in Richmond Heights, Mo., to Elwood and Leona (Schulze) Boody, formerly of Little Rock, Ark. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Dale Boody, of North Little Rock, and her in-laws, Louis and Charlene (Johnston) Sanders, formerly of Cabot, Ark.
Terry is survived by her husband, Don L. Sanders of Searcy, a daughter and son-in-law, Andrea and Freddy Hudson, and one grandson, Alistair Hudson, all of San Antonio, Texas. She is also survived by a brother, Orin (Judy) Boody of Little Rock; a sister-in-law, Linda Boody of North Little Rock; a brother-in-law, David (Kathy) Sanders of Oroville, Calif.; three nephews; two nieces; and a host of other family and friends.
Terry was a member of Saint Paul United Methodist Church in Searcy, and a member of the Wilson-Evans Sunday School class. She worked for two doctors' offices and also at the Arkansas Department of Health lab, where she was a lab tech for 10 years. She retired from the Arkansas Department of Health in late 1980s. Terry and Don loved to travel and would go any time they could get away. Her favorite saying when someone would call and ask what she was doing, was "Oh, we're just going down the road."
A memorial service will be held on Monday, March 28, 2022, at 1 p.m. at Saint Paul United Methodist Church, 2509 W. Beebe-Capps Expressway, Searcy, with Rev. Clefton Vaughan officiating. Memorials to the church can be made in lieu of flowers.
